Empower Rural Schoolchildren for a Brighter Future

The Transform Lives one school at a time program provides schoolchildren with access to clean drinking water, better sanitation facilities, a safe and learning-conducive school environment, and digital and life skills awareness training. School Management Committees (SMCs) are provided with support and training to build their capacities for improved and sustained functioning of their schools. The results are increased enrollment and reduced dropouts in rural government schools, especially for girl children. Join us to help create healthier, more inclusive, and better-equipped schools today!

What We Do

In many villages, children dream of a better future but face obstacles including inadequate school environments, a lack of or unsafe drinking water, and minimal resources. Sehgal Foundation transforms these challenges into opportunities by creating more-conducive learning environments where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

Enhancing schools with clean drinking water and improved sanitation, ensures that no child—especially girls—has to miss school due to a lack of facilities. Comfortable seats replace the traditional practice of sitting on the floor, fostering a more dignified and focused learning experience. Digital literacy programs introduce students to technology, bridging the gap between rural and urban education and preparing them for the rapidly changing world.

Beyond infrastructure, parents and teachers are engaged to help ensure that every child stays in school, with a special focus on increasing enrollment and reducing dropouts among girls. By strengthening School Management Committees, we empower communities to sustain these improvements for generations to come. 

Through these efforts, the results are not just improving schools—we are unlocking the potential of every child, giving them the tools to shape their own future with confidence and dignity.
